About me
David Licher
Systemic therapist/family therapist (DGSF)
Systemic Consultant (SG)
Social Worker Master of Arts
As a systemic therapist and counselor, I support people in challenging life situations with a clear understanding of their strengths, opportunities, and resources. I rely on the power of relationships, perspective shifts, and creativity.
My work is characterized by a constructivist approach and is grounded in systems theory: I don't see people in isolation, but rather as part of their social contexts and relationships. Every person already brings with them much of what is necessary for development and change—sometimes all it takes is a different perspective, an appreciative counterpart, or a new stimulus.
I am a certified systemic therapist/family therapist (DGSF) and systemic consultant (SG) and have a master's degree in social work.
For over ten years, I have been working with people in various psychosocial, counseling, and therapeutic fields. My professional experience includes parenting and family counseling, working with children and adolescents, addiction counseling, and the area of mental health across the life course. This diversity of experience enables me to provide empathetic and informed support to people in very different life phases and with a wide range of concerns.
Whether in individual sessions, with couples, or families, I see my role as a temporary companion who, together with you, (re)discovers possibilities, provides orientation, and opens up spaces for development. In keeping with the spirit of short-term therapy, I believe that working with you is about working on your issues in a goal-oriented manner within a limited time frame and facilitating change processes.
